MatWeb.com is looking for enthusiastic Marketing Director or Advertising Salesperson to join our team. This is an exciting position for someone who recognizes the power and opportunities presented to the materials community by the Internet and can translate this vision into sales.
Initial Responsibilities:

Candidates should be trained in marketing and sales, as well as posses some engineering or scientific background either academically or through previous sales experience.  Strong organizational abilities are needed to help us develop our sales process and follow-through on a large volume of leads.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Most sales activities will take place from Blacksburg so there will be little travel or face-to-face selling.  Specific experience in the plastics or metals industries or experience with national scale ad agencies/media buyers would be desirable.
